Hairdresser Games and Cutting Off Long Hair

If you’re thinking about cutting off your long hair, be sure you’ve given the change some serious thought. Going from long hair to even medium hair can be a dramatic difference in how you look and feel, so be ready for a big change. Of course, chopping off long hair is supposed to be a big change, and most often, it’s a terrific one. If you’re thinking about cutting off your long hair, consider the following:

Don’t cut your hair in a crisis. If you’re panicking about heading back to school, this is certainly not the time to try on a new look. Cut your hair when you’re reasonably confident about your life as a whole and you’re not doing it for the wrong reasons.

Take it slowly. It can be temping to chop it all off in one fell swoop, but that can also be shocking and panic inducing. If you’re going to cut your hair short, start with a medium cut and get use to having shorter hair before going all the way to pixie.

Be prepared for the styles necessary. Having short hair means you’ll have to do something with it every morning. You can’t just pull it into a ponytail and go, you have to style it. Pick a style that’s easy enough to do that you won’t feel put out on the mornings you’d much rather just not mess with it at all.
