Hairdresser Games and Your Age

There is much to be said for your age and your hairstyle. Your hairstyle should be fashionable and reflect your age and style as much as possible. While you might look great with long hair at sixteen, you might not enjoy the look as much when you turn forty. Keeping your look current can be a challenge, and it doesn’t mean you have to change dramatically every few years unless you want to.

When you go to the hairdresser, discuss the style you want and get her educated opinion about what will make you look youthful and fun – at your age. There are definitely styles more suitable to different decades. After thirty or forty, many women opt to have their hair a bit shorter to give their face a boost. Long hair tends to drag the face down a bit.

But short hairstyles aren’t for everyone. Oval faces with definition look great with short hairstyles, but round faces might have a bit more trouble carrying a pixie hair style. Look closely at your face’s shape and decide what makes sense to you and your hairdresser for your age. Then enjoy your new cut!
